Accreditation, Tuition and Enrolment

The University of Applied Research & Development is an NOCN approved institution. NOCN is a United Kingdom Awarding Organisation licensed by Ofqual and approved to develop, endorse and award qualifications Levels 1 to 7; both organisations are part of the NOCN Group.

QAA: The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education is the independent body that checks on standards and quality in UK higher education. It conducts quality assessment reviews, develops reference points and guidance for providers, and conducts or commissions research on relevant issues.

Ofqual: The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation is a non-ministerial government department that regulates qualifications, exams and tests.

Enrollment Process

Completion of Enrolment Form

  1. Online (note: each programme has a specific online enrolment form. Ensure your faculty leader provides you the correct link so your application is approved swiftly)
  2. Before intake due date
    1. All documentation submitted

Internal review by academic team

  • Correct documentation
  • Prerequisite qualifications uploaded
  • Identification authentic
  • Personal details complete
  • Questions answered

Offer of Place processed – options:

  • Decline – did not meet entry requirements, or
  • Provisional – prerequisites need to be completed, or
  • Full Offer of Place – all requirements met

Offer of Place delivered to Country Representative

Invoice for Electronic Tuition Fees issued

  • Invoice sent to student’s enrolment email address
  • Payment made by:
    • Wire transfer Mercury Bank USA (Evolve Bank & Trust), or
    • Stripe online payment, or
    • Digital Currency, or
    • Paypal
    • Note that no cash payments are accepted

 

Payment by BITCOIN (BTC) or Bitcoin Cash (BCH) or SLP

  1. Request wallet QR code or wallet address from UARD or on your invoice
  2. Make BTC, BCH or SLP payment
  3. Send proof of wallet deposit to the contact person on your invoice

Payment by PayPal

  • Request PayPal invoice or link from UARD or on your invoice
  • Make payment
  • Send proof of wallet deposit to the contact person on your invoice

Finalisation

  1. Payment received & processed
  2. Enrolment confirmed via welcome email
    • Access instructions for Google Classroom
    • Access instructions for Private Facebook Group
    • Access to Term Overview
    • Invitation to an Induction session with Programme Director
  3. Student begins enrolment

Refunds Policy

The following describes the situations in which a refund may or may not be granted to a student and administrative charges. Please note, there is no charge or fee to withdraw. Simply complete the change in enrolment form (request this from your faculty leader).

Withdrawal 7 days or more prior to the advertised programme or course start date Full refund of Tuition fees to the Payer (that is, the individual, company, organisation etc. that submitted the tuition fees to UARD)
Withdrawal on or before 7 days after the advertised programme or course start date 50% refund of Tuition fees to the Payer (that is, the individual, company, organisation etc. that submitted the tuition fees to UARD)
Withdrawal after 7 days of the advertised programme or course start date No refund
Admin, book, enrolment or recognition of prior learning fees or costs (non-tuition fees) No refund
