The Bachelor of Emergency Response & Risk Management is an international degree. This international qualification is established in the USA in partnership with the Texas A&M University System through the TEEX extension service (UARD is a Cooperative Learning Center), the globally recognised leader in Emergency Management. Graduates may pursue higher qualifications through our Texas A&M University System articulation agreement.
This programme is also accredited at Level 6 (bachelor degree) in the United Kingdom by NOCN & One Awards, the leading end-point assessment organisation for OfQual and QAA.

Recognition of Prior Learning for Acceptance
Our students come to us from a variety of industries. For example, you may have worked or be working in the Oil & Gas sector and have completed OPITO standard assessments. You may also have served in the Red Cross or in the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s deployment units and gained significant experience or certifications. These can be included in your application to enter the Accelerated Bachelor programme.

Additionally, you may have worked in a fire safety organisation and completed a hazardous materials or fire rescue programme with TEEX Texas A&M’s Extension Service. These highly rigorous, quality training certifications may also be included in your application to enter the Accelerated Bachelor programme. Your professional experiences may include accredited training with the International Well Control Forum, the National Fire Protection Association or the International Institute and hold an IFE Level 5 Diploma in Fire Engineering Design or IFE Level 5 Award in Fire Investigation: Theory and Practice, for example.
