The Masters Level Programme in Emergency Response & Risk Management are geared to individuals who want to position their career for success in a public safety or related career. They recognize that getting a masters degree will give them a competitive edge, when combined with professional, volunteer, or internship experience. Masters in Emergency Management students have significant experience in humanitarian, military, industry and federal first-responder roles. You will aspire to leadership or already leading a team, so you can use the knowledge, skills & network gained from this programme in your day-to-day work. This Master’s Degree Program allowed me the opportunity to review, change and implement the emergency protocols per the HSEPs / local Qatar laws and create a partnership with the local EMS services and Civil Defence.
This has also advanced me in the program of including the top management and leaders concerning emergency management and response emergency drills and plans. With a large volume of workers 24/7 operationally, the emergency plans, support, communication, equipment and training is vital, therefore I have secured a resident government approved clinic on-site with resident full-time Doctors / Nurses, engaging them in all my operational plans for emergencies, I have secured on-site fire trucks with dedicated drivers and ambulance drivers rounding the site, familairising themselves on the locations, zones and sections.
I have 204 certified and trained first-aiders, fire wardens and inspectors on my site, deployed doing full-time inspections and reports. The Master’s Degree program made known to me the critical aspect of the absence of leadership during emergencies and catastrophic circumstances.

UARD operates a flexible-start opportunity. Students may join the M.ERRM at anytime when a new course starts. This allows you to build your network of fellow emergency managers straight away. The flexible-start means you can complete your masters programme faster and enhance your career opportunities without the constraints of semesters.
There is no financial penalty for students starting at different sessions.
Pandemic Response – Vaccination Roll-Out Specialization
If you need to specialize in the roll-out of vaccination programmes in both developed and developing nations, the “Masters in Emergency Response and Risk Management: Major in Community Vaccination Programmes” is available.
The Community Vaccination major led by Dr Quentin Mascarenhas focuses on Logistics, Establishment & Delivery.

Study Pathway & Entry Requirements
Students may enroll into the Master of Emergency Response & Risk Management directly with an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent and suitable work experience. Students should have completed the Master of Emergency Response & Risk Management
